Who is Glowstone?

Glowstone is an fictional character, based from inspiration.

If you’re wondering why she’s named Glowstone and not Lapis…

After about 15 years in the mines, she was freed from a mental breakdown.

She had the breakdown, after being trapped there by bullies who said that they hoped she’d die there.

When she was freed, she burst open an exit of her own, and she ran out in the daylight, which barely blinded the gem, luckily she was able to escape the mines for once in her life.

When she got out, she knew it was time to take her bullies down.

No one has ever acknowledged the blue and depressed Glowstone, except for her friends Derpy, Minkie,  Pie, Pinkie, and Inkie. The five had a fun time with each other, despite her grudge towards her bullies.

Glowstone doesn’t have any parents because she was a gem, which makes it hard for others to attack her because she is a 10 gem fusion, meaning she is very powerful. She’s infused with a garnet (another fusion), amethyst, rose quartz, bismuth, lapis, peridot, aquamarine, jasper, and a cherry red agate. Glowstone loves to sing because she was rewarded with the most beautiful singing voice ever, and she still sings and dances. Even the mines could not take that way.

When she speaks her voice is utterly low.

She says, “Before the mines, I lived in a cave with a bear that looked like the big dipper called the Ursa Major. The Ursa Major and I began to have a sibling relationship in a few minutes the day we met. The only reason it didn’t hurt me was that we had the same past, neglect from the world.”

When the Ursa Major let me out to explore the rest of the world then things got rough.

Now safe, at her new friends’ home, she saw six more friends in a circle. With a binder in front of them, Glowstone sat with them, while Pinkie introduced them. She looked at the binder in confusion and one of her sister besties, Inkie, told her that each picture in the binder had a number on the back. Each number represented a friend who could be there for her. 

And then the gray, named Derpy, asked if Glowstone wanted to join their team-up.

She agreed to join and headed to bed.

“Glowy, wake up! It’s morning!” Derpy said excitedly, standing over Glowstone. Glowstone, now nicknamed Glowy, groaned while trying to stay asleep because she wakes up a little late.

“Glowstoneee!” Derpy tried again. This time Glowstone’s eyes began to open a little. “Glowy if you don’t wake up I’m- I’m-”. Derpy paused and got an idea, “If you don’t wake up I’m gonna eat all the bacon!” Derpy exclaimed.

Glowstone quickly sat up and tackled Derpy to the floor. “Not the bacon,” Glowstone said in her demonic voice. “Oh it was just you, Derpy,” Glowstone said, looking tired. Glowstone looked around the room but saw no one else, “Where is everyone?” Glowstone asked, wiping her eyes.

“They all left for some business,” Derpy told her, getting off of Glowstone. “I wanted to spend time with you,” Derpy then said. Glowstone, having no heart but, new signs of emotions, smiled at Derpy. “Ok,” she said in a less excited tone.

Derpy did a flip in the air before walking up to Glowstone. “So what are we gonna do?” Derpy asked. “Maybe go for a fly” Glowstone suggested, “or maybe a race?”

Derpy frowned and said, “Glowy, you know I’m not good at racing. I hurt both of my wings last time.”

“Right.” Glowstone said facepalming.

“But we can still fly!” Derpy reminded her.

Glowstone agreed but promised that she’d go slow this time because when they went for a fly last time, Glowstone went too fast and ended up injuring Derpy.

“Sure” Glowstone said, her voice coming back from sleeping.

Derpy and Glowstone stepped outside. Everyone was out, busy, and the kids were out playing in their parent’s yards. The sky was blue as usual and Derpy and Glowstone were ready to fly.

Derpy spread her wings out and Glowstone spreading her four pairs of wings out, prepared to fly.

The two flew out into the blue, they didn’t make a sound until Derpy spoke, “so how is it living with us?” Derpy asked curiously. “It’s what I’ve always wanted,” Glowstone said truthfully. Derpy started to cry and began to fall on the ground, luckily Glowstone caught her in time and they both landed in a part of the woods.

“Derpy! What’s wrong?!” Glowstone asked anxiously. “I-it’s just-” Derpy choked. “No one has ever said that to me before…” Derpy cried. Glowstone hugged Derpy and said, “Let it all out. It’ll be ok…” Derpy started to cry hysterically while Glowstone held Derpy in her arms.

She asked, “What happened to you?”

“Loneliness. You?”

“Way back, my colors almost began to fade, because a dragonaquis, a bully.

But I defended myself by kicking him so hard, he flew all the way out of my sight. He came after me when I escaped the mines.

I walked and walked into town till I met dear Pinkie.

You know the rest, I’ve been hanging with these seven friends for years now.”

I finally have two hobbies.

Singing and Baking.

And when we get ready to bake…they are the best cupcakes ever!

Plus, I’m too nervous and excited right now because of my performance for the holidays, but since it’s December now I guess it’s finally time that I show my true colors for Christmas.

I dyed pieces of my hair green and changed into my Christmas clothes. I’m still wearing it, but everyone else is cool with their own kind of Christmas clothing. Some acknowledge me in a good manner and I can pretty much enjoy their kindness and care. I have too many friends to worry about, but that’s fine. I love my friends anyway.

I had a good time with friends, well a few for the holidays. It. Went. Well.

My mind can not seem to escape the past though. What led me into the mines. I indeed had been trapped by Chara and Frisk for no apparent reason, but I’ve managed to get out. I don’t know why I even trusted those two little brats into following them to their place.

Anyway even though my heart is still not there, I have the courage for others who don’t think they’re good enough to fit in. Now when I see someone that’s sad, I ask what’s wrong or I sing a song.

It doesn’t matter what song I sing. Anyway, I’m so excited about this performance I’m gonna do with a friend and my celebrity crush (she blushes and falls to the floor but then she gets back up). Backstage with friends and fans, and they love my performances. A couple of people gave me hugs and gave me gifts. (she hears a bell ringing) Oh! That’s my que. I’ll continue writing to you peeps later, right now. THE PERFORMANCE IS STARTING!

The next morning felt rough. It was a beautiful Friday morning, the sky was clear from clouds,the sun was out, and everybody was not outside because it was my 25th birthday and everybody was inside the town square. I woke up that morning with dim darkness in my eyes. Perplexed, I walked to the window and found out nobody was outside and I figured if someone was on the run. In the mines, a birthday was just another day, maybe worse.

Glowstone goes downstairs but is immediately greeted by her sisters and the sight she saw. The whole house was decorated with party streamers on the blinds, balloons on the chairs, confetti was on the floor, and a large banner was hammered to the wall that said “Happy Birthday Glowstone”. “SURPRISE!”, her sisters yelled in unison, shocked by the entrance. Glowstone smiled and wiped her eyes from sleepiness. “Thank you girls.” Glowstone said happily, “We’re gonna take you somewhere you’ve never been before!” Pinkie exclaimed, and her sisters nodded in agreement, “Ok.” Glowstone told them. “But I’ve never had a good birthday ever since I was in the mines.”

The sisters looked at each other sadly and then Pinkie spoke, “Well it’ll be the best birthday party you’ve ever had in your life.” Pinkie told Glowstone, hopping happily. Glowstone gave a nod. ‘Ok where we goin-” Glowstone was interrupted by a blindfold going around her eyes. “Hey!” Glowstone yelled, “Sorry” Pinkie apologized, “we’ll remind you next time.” “Alright” Glowstone told her and then the sister went on.

Fifteen minutes later they arrived at the skating rink. Glowstone was still wearing the blindfold and was curious of where her sisters we’re taking her. Four minutes later they went inside the skating rink, Glowstone heard party music and figured she was at a sort of club. “Ok.” Pinkie said after going in, “You can take the blindfold off now!” Glowstone took the blindfold off and was surprised at what she saw. They were in a colorfully bright room with a rink at the end of the room and there were food, skates, and many people there.

Glowstone looked at her feet and saw her black and red roller skates she wore when she needed to skate around. “I-I” Glowstone stammered, it looked like she lost her words in an instant. Glowstone eyes were listless, her pupils were yellow with happiness, her smile widened, and hugged her sisters tightly, blue, red, and black tears streaming from her eyes.

“THANK YOU SO MUCH!” Glowstone cried, and her sisters hugged her back.

Then all of a sudden, U 2 Luv came on, and Glowstone skated her way to the rink, skating better than anyone has ever seen in their lives, the focus was on Glowstone as she danced while skating, she was also singing along to the song, feeling happier than she’s ever been.

When the song was over, Glowstone stopped skating, dancing, and singing as she looked around, everyone was full of shock and surprise as they saw everything that was happening. Then everyone applauded and cheered for Glowstone’s awesome performance, then “Because Of You” by Ne-yo came on, and everyone started joining Glowstone in a happy party.

7 hours later, glowstone and her sisters went to town square, “Why are we here?” Glowstone asked and her sisters winked at her, not understanding glowstone pushed the door open then without warning, glowstone was shocked by the entrance. “HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLOWSTONE!” everyone roared in unison, even glowstone’s sisters. Glowstone was speechless, and started to cry again. “Thank you everyone..” Glowstone cried happily, “thank you all so very much.” Glowstone allowed everyone to a performance for her birthday, and everyone cheered as she sang, celebrating glowstone’s 25th birthday.

At sunset everyone went home, even Glowstone and her sisters, Glowstone went up to her room, got in her bed and went to sleep. “I’ll never forget this moment.” Glowstone thought and fell completely to sleep.
