5 Way To Fight Online Learning Stress

    Are you having a hard time and stressing during these times?

I know that some people are having hard times as of now with the virus and having to do school online. Unfortunately, some people have been stressing about it. If you are, I know how to help. 

  • One thing I know that you can do is while on your breaks in an online class is to stand up and stretch because I know that sitting for too long gets tiring. 
  • A second thing that you can do is take a walk either outside or inside your home to just breathe it all out
  • A third thing that you can do is draw or write your feelings out on paper, so you can have it there and think about something more positive.
  • Another thing you can start doing is sleep a bit more, for example, sleep a bit earlier, so that you can be ready for the next day of school.
  • Last but not least, one thing you can do is talk to your family or friends on a phone with a call or Facetime so that you can feel like they are with you.

Students Sound Off – Covid

My name is Yeshua and I want to share with you some student thoughts about Covid. I have interviewed a number of people about their feelings about being in quarantine. What they had to say was quite similar. When I asked if they thought it would go back to normal, everyone said that people would be more cautious for a long time to come. As far as feelings go, some students say that they want it to be over, while others say they like staying home in quarantine.

Here is what some of our staff editors had to say:

The Devil Trying To Come At Us

Covid is like the devil trying to come at us,

Even tho it’s not, everyone’s scared and furious,

That this year has to be almost the worst year.

But everyone including my dad, which I’m not mentioning

Always checks up on me and wonder and worries

If I’m ok.

If Covid will ever try to affect me, my mom will have

Whoever’s head that infected me.

Like my mother and brother, I sincerely hope that

My big cousins Brandy And Ray J are ok as well.

Cuz I have never met them, for I was born in 2007,

And those two had been born before I was.

Today, I feel pretty good even tho Covid is

Still with us now, but let’s all pray that

This will all be over and we’ll be able to do our

Normal stuff like we always do and

Covid – A Day

We will make good things about the day

Covid 19 is something important happening today, everyone needs to

take seriously

So we can go back to the good ol’ days

10 Fun Things to Do in Quarantine

Hello. My name is Yeshua V. and I am Shelinda E. I am an 8th Grader here at Mack and I (Shelinda) am in 7th grade. I know these times are hard, especially being bored. We are here to help, your Savior :). We are going to talk about some fun things to do in Quarantine.

  1. Play Games: If you have a console of a game, then play a video game on it. You can play online with friends or go solo. This is one that I know a lot of people do.

Games: Animal Cross, Roblox (Club Roblox, Adopt Me, MM2) Apex legends

  1. Build Something: A lot of people have video games. If you don’t then build something out of scratch. 
  1. Binge Watch Your Fav Show: If you have a favorite show, then watch the whole thing over again.

Movie/ T.V. Shows: The Baby Sitters Club, Project MC, Fuller House, Star Wars, Enola Holmes

  1. Cook: If you are in the kitchen and have some food leftover in your pantry, then just get a recipe book and see what you can cook.
  1. Read: If you have a library in your house or just a little corner of books, then pick one and just read it. I know you might be like, “Bruh, I don’t wanna read no dang book.” Well guess what. Just read it. You won’t believe me, but if you just read it, then you will love it. 

Books: Harry Potter, The Hate You Give, On The Come Up, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Percy Jackson (The Olympians, Heroes of Olympus, Magnus Chase, Kane Chronicles, Trials of Apollo)

  1. Fix Your Room: If your room looks bad or nice, then design your room to your own will. You can design your room however you want to. You can make it Princessy, Cool, A Nice hangout. I’m thinking of putting a couch in my room and some bean bags but not sure though.
  1. Dress Up: Do you have a big closet full of clothes? Or little. Well throw some stuff on and see what looks good. Mix and Match clothes.
  1. Play an Instrument: I know some people have Band, Orchestra, Guitar or Choir then just find some lyrics or a Sheet Music to play. 
  1. Learn a New Language: I have always known Spanish and English but I am learning Greek. You guys should learn new languages. 
  1. Make A Youtube Channel: Do some things that you like and make videos of them. Post it on youtube and maybe get subscribers (maybe). That is some things to do while in Quarantine. Hope you like them. 🙂
